Uganda, April 26 -- It is that time of year again, brethren, where I contemplate what to request for my birthday. You see, at this age my good husband and I do not surprise each other. Birthday gifts are applied for in advance and granted if the family budget allows. 

Surprises right now are a bad idea because no one has the time or energy to pretend that we like what we do not like. Let us leave that one for newlyweds and influencers.
