Uganda, April 8 -- Media reporting has played a direct role in the recovery of misappropriated public funds, officials from the Inspectorate of Government (IGG) have revealed, as Nation Media Group Uganda (NMG-U) reaffirmed its commitment to scale up media-driven efforts in the fight against corruption.
During a high-level engagement meeting in Kampala on April 8, the Deputy Inspector General of Government (DIGG), Anne Twinomugisha Muhairwe, underscored the growing role of the media not only in exposing corruption but also in supporting the recovery of stolen public funds.
