Uganda, April 23 -- The Minister of State for Primary Education, Dr Joyce Kaducu Moriku, has tipped medical workers on mechanisms that can be adopted for the management of expectant mothers in labor pain in order to reduce the high rate of cesarean deliveries in their respective health facilities.

According to her, health facilities register increased cases of cesarean deliveries due to the negligence of midwives to professionally monitor the labor of mothers seeking antenatal services at the health facility.

"Antenatal care is crucial in the health facilities and when it comes to delivery, we must make sure that we manage and monitor labor of our expectant mothers using a partograph to reduce cesarean cases of delivery," she said....
