Uganda, April 12 -- Mediation efforts aimed at resolving a property dispute between the children of the late former Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) boss and prominent city lawyer, Chris John Bakiza, and their stepmother, Ms Robinah Mbabazi, have failed, further deepening the inheritance wrangle now before the Family Division of the High Court.

Court records show that attempts to reconcile the parties through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) framework have so far yielded no agreement despite several sittings presided over by retired Supreme Court Justice Paul Mugamba.
