Uganda, May 3 -- For the past eight months, pupils' enrolment at Bwayuya Primary School in Kasokwe Sub-county, Kaliro District, has been increasing, with authorities attributing the turnaround to the renovation of its condemned and dilapidated buildings.
Modern Group of Companies undertook the refurbishment of two classroom blocks for Primary One to Primary Seven, as well as offices, and fitted the classroom floors and roofs with tiles and ceilings at a cost of Shs172 million.
The school's director of studies, Mr Godfrey Kibule, said that since the refurbishment, learners' enrolment and retention have improved, and he expects the trajectory to continue.
