Uganda, May 1 -- The Kabale District security committee has raised a red flag against Iron Ore crushers that have failed to adhere to dust control measures, thus causing pollution in the communities in their area of operation.
The Kabale Resident District Commissioner, Maj Godfrey Katamba, on Thursday said that he has already issued warning letters to company owners over air and water pollution in the communities where they are operating.
Other companies have been warned against illegal acts of iron ore mining and processing, thus evading paying royalties to the district administration.
