Uganda, May 10 -- In March this year, the burial of Masaka City Businessman, Bosco Ssenyonjo, who died in a motor crash along Entebbe express highway, faced a setback when the deceased's wife and his family members contested over a burial ground. The matter dragged on until the court's intervention.

In 2024, the send-off of Severino Okoya Kiberu, a self-proclaimed prophet and father of the former leader of the Holy Spirit Movement rebel group, Alice Auma Lakwena, also met a standoff from his children over fights over his burial ground.

Okoya, who had died in July, had his burial pushed for a month as the siblings battled a court case against what each side described as the deceased's will.
