Uganda, April 13 -- The construction of a 10.4km Olamnyur-Atiak road in Amuru district is nearing completion, bringing hope among users.

The road is one of the district's main links to the market, health facilities, and educational institutions. It is being constructed under the National Oilseeds Project (NOSP). 

It connects Pogo Sub-County and Attiak Town Council via Atiak Sub-County. District officials report 95% completion.

Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Amuru, Mr John Bosco Opio, says what remains now includes gravelling of the less than one-kilometre stretch, and auxiliary works on the bridge.
