Govt must improve our ambulance services
Uganda, April 28 -- There is a serious deficiency in ambulance services across the country. Currently, there is a shortage of ambulances, with the few available ones unable to cater to the populace. Administrators of hospitals where these few ambulances are deployed complain that they are not given enough money to fuel, maintain, and repair them when they break down.
Because of a shortage of funds to repair them, some ambulances that break down are left to rot in parking yards and garages. This has made an already bad situation worse. Broken-down ambulances that can easily be repaired are left to rot while patients struggle to get transport to hospitals to which they are referred.
