Uganda, April 21 -- Uganda's fuel supply remains "stable, sufficient, and well-managed," the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and the Uganda National Oil Company (Unoc) have said, following routine monitoring of national stocks and supply chains.

The assurance comes amid pump-level shortages at select stations and rising prices in some border towns, which have triggered public concern over availability.

In a joint statement issued on April 20, 2026, the Ministry and Unoc said the country had adequate reserves for short-term consumption.
