Uganda, April 11 -- Five people died on Friday night in a road crash along the Manafwa-Lwakhakha road after a commuter taxi registration number UBG 919Z collided with a Bajaj motorcycle registration number KMGL 195Y.
The incident occurred at Bumakheti village, Butiru Town Council, Manafwa district, at around 11 pm. The deceased, including a six-month-old baby, who were all being carried on the motorcycle, died instantly.
Elgon Regional Police Spokesperson, Mr Rogers Taiika, identified the victims as John Bosco Wakimwanyi, 24, the motorcycle rider and resident of Bumirume Village, Bukigai Sub County, Bududa District, and Wanditi Exovel, 22, from Butiliku Upper Village, Bukigai Sub County, Bududa District.
