Uganda, May 2 -- President Museveni on Friday sent condolences and financial support to families of passengers who perished in a boat accident on River Nguse, which separates Kagadi and Kikuube districts.
A canoe transporting more than 30 passengers en route from Bugoma Forest capsized on the river on Tuesday evening (April 28), leaving scores dead and others missing. About eight people are reported to have managed to swim to safety.
On Friday, the Prime Minister, Ms Robinah Nabbanja delivered Shs150 million on behalf of the President to support the affected families to help in burial expenses.
