Uganda, April 28 -- The Bishop of Soroti Catholic Diocese, Rt Rev Joseph Eciru, on Tuesday led prayers for the sick, urging Christians to pray with faith, saying "Jesus will restore him or her."

15 during a pastoral visit to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital, Bishop Eciru said faithful prayer not only heals the sick but also brings forgiveness of sins.

"Church pray and make the prayer in faith, pray for the sick and anoint, let us pray with faith because it will reclaim the one who is ill," the bishop said.

He emphasised that healing requires both faith and medicine, noting that priests offer prayers and anoint the sick while doctors and nurses provide treatment.
