Uganda, April 25 -- There is a looming shortage of fertilisers and a global food crisis as a result of the ongoing war between the US/Israel and Iran. This is not just the case of your columnist playing a prophet of doom; it is a fact that because of this war, fuel prices have begun to go up, and have made the cost of transport bigger.
Fertiliser prices have already begun to rise, mainly because there is political instability in some of the fertiliser-producing countries, as well as a blockage in the route used to deliver the fertilisers to Africa and Asia, as well as other regions in the world.
