CSOs urge 12th Parliament to prioritise citizens over politics
Uganda, May 12 -- Civil society groups are calling on Uganda's incoming 12th Parliament to focus on citizens' needs over partisan politics as lawmakers prepare to take oath this week.
The three-day swearing-in ceremony for members-elect runs from Wednesday, May 13 to Friday, May 15, 2026, marking the start of the 12th Parliament after the January general elections.
Andrew Mafundo, Executive Director of Citizen Concern Africa, said the new Parliament must prioritise better use of public resources and create opportunities for young people.
