Cassava, cocktails and coastal heat
Uganda, May 16 -- In Kampala's nightlife scene, cassava rarely gets VIP treatment. It is often relegated to pork joints and street food, no honour or respect. It is dependable, versatile and always shows up, but it seldom gets the spotlight. That is about to change when Mozambican chef Marcelino Dgedge arrives in the city for the next edition of The Singleton Chef's Table slated for May 26. Hosted by The Singleton, the event has become one of Kampala's most stylish dining experiences, where great whisky, inventive cocktails and great multi-course meals come together around one intimate table. Think of it as a night out at the bar but with fine dining on top of that. And Chef Marcelino is bringing plenty of that.
