Bishop Lubaale warns leaders against clinging to power
Uganda, April 10 -- Leaders have been urged to avoid clinging to power and instead mentor others to ensure continuity, as mourners gathered to lay to rest Jinja City Council Principal Revenue Officer Alex Kiwanuka in Mayuge District.
The call was made by Busoga Anglican Bishop Grace Lubaale, while presiding over the funeral service at Wabulungu Village in Magamaga Town Council.
"You are not in leadership forever. Give others a chance and mentor them to continue the good work," Bishop Lubaale said on April 8, 2026.
He also urged mourners to respect the deceased and refrain from speaking ill about his past.
