Uganda, April 30 -- Cultural, religious, and political leaders in Adjumani District have taken a significant step toward restoring unity by signing a peace pact, publicly committing themselves to reconciliation and peaceful coexistence.
The agreement was reached during a media and stakeholder engagement dialogue focused on analysing the post-election situation following the 2026 general elections.
The dialogue aimed to promote peace, social cohesion, and constructive engagement among stakeholders, while also encouraging responsible journalism in the aftermath of the polls.
