Sri Lanka, Aug. 22 -- A controversial question was raised in Parliament by Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, who alleged that certain YouTubers may have been provided with advance information about a supposed plan to arrest former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
"A particular YouTuber posted a video claiming that former President Wickremesinghe would be arrested and remanded for 14 days," MP Dassanayake said.
"How could they have come up with such content unless they were tipped off? Has sensitive information about a plan to arrest the former President been leaked to social media influencers?" the MP asked.
