Sri Lanka, April 3 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced that the ongoing 24-hour water cut imposed in several areas will be reduced to 18 hours.

Accordingly, an 18-hour water cut will be implemented in the Homagama area today (03), followed by Palanwatte tomorrow and Pannipitiya the day after.

The reduction applies to areas previously affected under four zones, including Padukka, Homagama, Palanwatte and Pannipitiya.

The Board said the revised schedule considering requests from the public.
