Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- Colombo, Sept. 21 (Daily Mirror) - Thirteen plantation workers, including twelve women and one man, were hospitalised following a wasp attack at the Kotiyagala Tea Estate in Bogwantalawa yesterday (20).
The incident occurred when a group of estate workers were plucking tea leaves in the N.C. section of the estate, which falls under the Bogwantalawa Police Division.
District Medical Officer of the Bogwantalawa Regional Hospital, Dr. A.S.K. Jayasuriya, said the victims were admitted with injuries caused by the wasp stings and are currently receiving treatment.
