Sri Lanka, Aug. 3 -- The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has announced that the validity of the Personal Identification Number (PIN) issued to taxpayers has been extended until November 30.

The extension is applicable to all categories of taxpayers, including individuals, partnerships and corporate entities.

The PIN is essential for accessing taxpayer accounts through the Revenue Administration Management Information System (RAMIS).

The department also reminded that filing tax returns for the 2024/2025 assessment year is mandatory and must be done online via the RAMIS platform.
