Sri Lanka, Sept. 29 -- The bodies of three workers have been recovered after a mound of earth collapsed at a construction site in Manikkawa, Mawanella, police said.

The incident occurred while the workers were at the site, prompting authorities to launch an operation earlier today to extricate them safely.

However, all three workers were found buried under the mound of earth.
