UNDP provides equipment to Government DNA laboratory
Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has provided essential equipment to the DNA laboratory of the Government Analyst's Department to enhance the country's DNA testing capacity.
The equipment was formally handed over this morning (15) by UNDP Resident Representative in Sri Lanka Azusa Kubota to Government Analyst Kamini Perera at the department premises on Isuru Mawatha, Battaramulla, in the presence of Justice and National Integration Minister Harshana Nanayakkara.
Following an inspection of the equipment, the handover agreement was signed by Perera and Kubota.
