Sri Lanka, July 30 -- Two suspects arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a restaurant owner near the Bellanwila walking path have been handed over to the Western Province South Crime Investigation Division for further investigations under a 90-day detention order.

The suspects, who were arrested by the Nawagamuwa Police while allegedly attempting to flee the area, have been placed under detention for extensive interrogation following a court order.

Police identified the suspects as a former Sri Lanka Army soldier from the Gangeyaya area in Kottepitiya, Bakamuna, and another individual from the Heerawiya area in Orubendi Siyambalawa, Bakamuna.
