Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- Two (2) children were rescued by the Sri Lanka Navy after the jet ski they were riding overturned at Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya yesterday.

Personnel from the Navy's Rapid Response Rescue and Relief Unit (4RU), deployed for lifesaving duties at Gregory Lake, witnessed the incident and immediately sprang into action. Their timely intervention brought the 2 children to safety, who were at risk of drowning.

The rescued children are residents of the Minuwangoda area, aged 11 and 13. Upon being rescued, they were handed over to Nuwara Eliya Police.
