Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- Two bodies were discovered in an abandoned house under renovation in the Seenimodara area of Tangalle.

Police said a search of the premises also led to the discovery of 10 packets suspected to contain the narcotic drug Ice (crystal methamphetamine), hidden inside a lorry parked near the house.

Another individual who was at the scene reportedly fell ill suddenly and was rushed to the Tangalle General Hospital.

He later succumbed while receiving treatment.

Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, while the Government Analyst's Department is conducting autopsies to determine the causes of death.
