Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- A stock of 'Kush' drugs valued at around Rs. 320 million was seized early this morning after being found abandoned near luggage belt No. 06 inside the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.

The drugs, packed in 60 airtight packets, were concealed inside two travel bags, according to the Airport Police Narcotic Bureau.

Police said the bags had been brought into Sri Lanka by a passenger who arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-405.

Investigators suspect the passenger abandoned the bags and fled the airport after fearing arrest.
