Srilanka, Sept. 6 -- A one-and-a-half-year-old girl has died after being accidentally run over by a cab driven by her grandfather in the Shivanagar area of Kilinochchi.

The tragic incident occurred when the grandfather started the cab while the child was inside the house. The girl reportedly ran toward the vehicle, and was accidentally struck and run over.

The deceased has been identified as Ruban Anamika, approximately one and a half years old, who was a resident of the Uruthirapuram Shivanagar area in Kilinochchi.
