Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Three students were injured after a wall collapsed at C.W.W. Kannangara College in Borella during renovation work.

It was reported that a backhoe used for the renovations struck the wall, causing it to collapse. The three 16-year-old students, who were at the school playground at the time, were trapped under the debris but were quickly rescued and admitted to the National Hospital, Colombo. One of the students is undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit, police said.

The 48-year-old backhoe driver involved in the incident has been arrested, and Borella Police are conducting further investigations.
