Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- A sergeant and two corporals attached to the 12 Sinha Regiment camp at Mutthiyankattu in the Mullaitivu Army Camp, who had been taken in connection with the death of a young man who called over at the Mutthiyankattu Army Camp to collect scrap iron, were produced before Mullaitivu Magistrate Dharmalingam Pradeepan and remanded till August 19.
The body of the victim, Adiramansinham Kapilraj, had been recovered from the tank by the police.
It is alleged that the young man had been assaulted when he called over at the army camp with two others to purchase scrap iron, and later drowned in the Mutthiyankattu tank.
