Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Those who made an attempt to set fire to the Parliamentary complex during the aragalaya should be sentenced to death just like those who killed former MP Amarakeerthi Athokorala, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP S.M. Marikkar said today.

"We welcome the verdict given by the courts on those who were charged with killing former MP Amarakeerthi Athukorala during the Aragalaya period. However, the same punishment should be given to those who tried to set fire to the parliamentary complex. Some Ministers in the present government were behind this effort," the MP said.
