Srilanka, Oct. 19 -- Minister of Women and Child Affairs Hon. Saroja Savithri Paulraj has emphasized the need for stronger ground-level engagement to improve the lives of women and children in Sri Lanka, stating, "We must become even more active on the ground for the betterment of women and children in our country."

The Minister made these remarks during a special discussion held on October 17 at the Polonnaruwa District Secretariat, aimed at reviewing the progress of ongoing projects related to the protection, economic and social empowerment of women, and the care and early childhood development of children in the district.
