SriLankan UL606 turns back to Colombo due to adverse weather
Sri Lanka, June 12 -- SriLankan Airlines has confirmed that Flight UL606, which departed from Colombo to Sydney at 00:05 hrs today (12 June), returned to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) following an operational occurrence encountered amid adverse weather conditions.
The aircraft, carrying 207 passengers and 16 crew members, landed safely after turning back as a precautionary measure.
The airline said that the flight later resumed its journey to Sydney at 05:51 hrs this morning using a replacement aircraft.
