Sri Lanka, April 16 -- A confrontation has reportedly taken place between a SriLankan Airlines official and the captain of flight UL403 at an airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

According to sources, the incident involved an airline official based in Thailand and the captain of the SriLankan Airlines flight.

Sources stated that the altercation arose while the official was acting on information regarding a suspected attempt to transport prohibited items on the aircraft.

Sources further alleged that the official was assaulted by the captain during the incident.

The official is said to intend to pursue legal action in connection with the matter.
