SriLanka, Feb. 7 -- A group of Sri Lankan Tamils now domiciled in the United Kingdom conducted a protest in London on February 4. Starting outside Sri Lanka's High Commission in London, the protesters marched through central London and ended outside Downing Street.

The protestors said that while Sri Lanka celebrates its 78th Independence, the Tamil community has failed to achieve its aspirations. They also claimed that the rights of the community in the North and East have been denied.
