Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Oct 9 seized 45.4kg of hydro ganja and 6kg of psilocybin mushrooms at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). Three persons, including a Sri Lankan, were arrested.
The accused are Shiv Kumar (from Sri Lanka), Yusuf Bihari, and Shahul Hameed (from India). Officials estimate that the seized drugs are worth Rs 50 crore.
As per the NCB Bengaluru zonal unit's statement, the bureau has collected information about drug cartels involved in the trafficking of hydroponic ganja from Thailand. It led to the interdiction of two persons, Yusuf and Shahul, arriving by flight from Colombo. Around 31.4kg of hydro ganja and 4kg of psilocybin mushrooms were seized from them.
