Sri Lanka, Aug. 5 -- Sri Lanka's national expressway network will expand by an additional 132 kilometers by the end of 2030 following the completion of four major infrastructure projects, according to Transport Minister Bimal Rathnayake.

Among the four initiatives contributing to this expansion, construction is currently underway on two crucial segments of the Central Expressway. These include the 37-kilometer Stage 1 stretch from Kadawatha to Mirigama and the 33-kilometer Stage 3 stretch from Pothuhera to Galagedara. Both sections are actively progressing to enhance connectivity across the country's central corridor.
