Sri Lanka's oldest woman passes away at 114
Sri Lanka, July 13 -- Punchage Kalumenike, a resident of Sangili Kanadarawa in the Anuradhapura District, who was widely recognized as one of Sri Lanka's oldest living women, has passed away at the age of 114.
Born on July 4, 1912, Kalumenike recently celebrated her 114th birthday alongside her family. According to reports, her health had declined following a fall earlier this year, which necessitated a surgical procedure.
She was a mother to 12 children and was blessed to see an extensive lineage that included an impressive 325 descendants, including great-grandchildren.
