Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- The Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Kenya, Ruvini De Silva, today formally handed over the renewed appointment of Prageeth Seneviratne as Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Mombasa, Kenya.

Seneviratne, a long-standing resident of Mombasa and a Director at EFL Logistics, will continue to support Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka's interests in the coastal region of Kenya, while assisting Sri Lankan nationals and strengthening trade, investment, tourism and people-to-people relations between the two countries.

The renewal of his appointment reflects the importance Sri Lanka places on maintaining a strong presence in Mombasa, one of East Africa's most important commercial and maritime gateways.
