Srilanka, Sept. 27 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has held discussions on the possibility of Sri Lanka hosting the Miss Universe pageant, highlighting the potential benefits for the country's tourism and international profile.

In a post on X, Minister Herath said he met with Olivia Quido, Vice President of Global Partnerships at the Miss Universe Organization; Caroline Jurie, former Mrs. World 2020 and Founder and Chairperson of Caroline J Global Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.; and Nishan Deepal and Kusal Perera, Co-Founders and Directors of the company.
