Sri Lanka, Dec. 15 -- Sri Lanka could face an economic crisis by the Sinhala New Year 2026, fueled by Cyclone Ditwah as it has been predicted by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, United National Party (UNP) Deputy General Secretary Harin Fernando said today.

"Sri Lanka is moving towards a forex crisis. Remember what I said today (December 15 2025) and you will understand it on April 15 2026," the UNP Deputy General Secretary said.
