Sri Lanka, June 6 -- The Sri Lanka Coast Guard today paid tribute to its founding Director General, Rear Admiral Daya Dharmapriya (Retd), at a special ceremony held at Coast Guard Headquarters in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the establishment and development of the institution.

The event honoured Rear Admiral Dharmapriya's pioneering role in laying the foundation for the Sri Lanka Coast Guard and his leadership in shaping its early direction.
