Sri Lanka, March 20 -- Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that players seeking to participate in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) will only be granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) upon successfully passing the board's mandatory Physical Performance Test.
SLC said it is currently conducting an eight-week specialized physical training programme for all centrally contracted players, aimed at improving fitness levels ahead of upcoming international assignments.
As part of the initiative, players are also undergoing routine physical performance tests to assess whether they meet the required standards.
