Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has dismissed social media rumours claiming that foreign military jets have been granted clearance to operate within Sri Lankan airspace.
The clarification comes amid heightened public concern following reports of military operations launched by the United States and Israel against targets in Iran, which led to speculation over increased aerial activity locally.
SLAF spokesman said that any noticeable increase in aircraft movements is purely domestic and part of scheduled rehearsals. These exercises are being conducted in preparation for the 75th Anniversary of the Air Force.
