Sri Lanka, Sept. 29 -- Sri Lankan students will soon get free access to Google's Gemini Advanced research tools and other digital resources, the Ministry of Digital Economy said today.

Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne announced the initiative at the National AI Expo 2025 in Colombo, calling it "a game changer" for the country's education sector.

"This is a monumental step in building our country's AI capacity. It levels the playing field, giving our students the chance to compete with the best anywhere in the world," he said.
