Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa departed for Singapore from the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in the early hours of today (16), airport sources said.

She left the country at around 1.10 a.m. aboard Singapore Airlines flight SQ-469.

Mrs. Anne de Livera, the mother-in-law of Rohitha Rajapaksa, also accompanied her on the journey.

Shiranthi Rajapaksa is scheduled to appear before the Financial Crimes Division (FCID) on September 24.
