Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- The Meteorolory Department today warned of thundershowers accompanied with severe lightning in the North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces and in the Vavuniya and Mullaittivu districts.

The Department said there may be temporary localised strong winds during thundershowers.

People are requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by lightning activity.
