Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Ramalingam Chandrasekar has reviewed the long-standing request by Monaragala District fishermen to establish a fisheries anchorage at Senanayake Samudraya during a field inspection visit to the reservoir.

During the visit, the Minister held discussions with representatives of local fisheries societies, who highlighted the difficulties they have faced over several years, including transportation challenges, limited access points for fishing activities, and the absence of a proper fisheries anchorage.
