Sri Lanka, May 12 -- The four schools in the Deniyaya Education Zone that were temporarily closed following the rapid spread of a viral fever among students, will reopen tomorrow (13), Southern Province Education Secretary Nishan Pathirana said.
He said steps are being taken to clean and sanitise the school premises and ensure a healthy environment for students and staff before reopening.
Meanwhile, preschools that were closed due to the situation will remain closed throughout this week.
Authorities have also appealed to individuals and organisations willing to assist with cleaning and health safety measures ahead of the reopening of schools and preschools to contact the Deniyaya Zonal Education Office and extend their support.
